At Findlay Films, our mission is to create compelling, thought-provoking documentaries that engage and inspire audiences. As a passionate and independent production partnership, we are dedicated to exploring various themes, and subjects, including sports history, biopics, and locations shaped by remarkable pioneers of The West.
With an unwavering commitment to authenticity and storytelling, our team of producers, led by director Kirk Findlay, and his talented production crew, aims to create a diverse range of films, especially those set in the Pacific Northwest. We pick subjects ranging from untold stories, the heritage of the region and captivating subjects that reflect the unique character and spirit of the Northwest.
From uncovering the history of baseball and its pioneers in our current production, "Pioneers of the Pacific," to past projects like the story of iconic promoter “Jack Matlack,”  (AFI finalist) who’s legacy extended to Hollywood royalty, “Rose City Ice Hockey,” and the plight of Indian-owned ranch “Kah-nee-ta,”  once filled with art, history, and adventure, turned into a bankrupt casino on barren desert land, with feuding family ideologies success, our creative team is driven by a passion for storytelling, quality craftsmanship, backed by meticulous research and rare archives, that produce visually captivating films.
As we continue our journey, future projects will explore a myriad of subjects including the upcoming documentary on author, Ellis Lucia, "Tough Men, Tough Country" and "The Big Blow"!
Our mission is to educate, and entertain viewers, leaving a lasting impact through the power of documentary storytelling filled with social comment and diversity.
